The freezer lid. It is lifted and held up by a gas hoist that can just be seen at the bottom-right of the lid. Again, for Hunter 34 owners, this counter top is the same configuration as the first countertop as modified by me. Notice the freezer lid is farther to the rear (toward the microwave) than the factory lid. That is required to have insulation for a freezer. And to move the opening aft, the panel that the microwave is mounted in, is also moved aft. All Hunter 34s can gain from moving the panel. It will move to the edge of the overhead liner. Some modification is needed for the tilted stock sliders, because there will be a 5-6" blank spot against the hull. BUT, you gain a third more counter space aft of the stove. If you keep your stock dishrack (don't do it!) it will have to be trimmed a little too. See Photo #66. In the overhead, note the paper towel roll above the microwave. Look outboard of that and you will see the squiggle in the wood/glass joint. That is where the original panel was mounted.
