The storage next to the sink and stove. The door is twice the size that the factory built. The tilted shelf is also shown.
You know, I just remembered how the factory built this compartment. It couldn't hold anything! There was NO wall between the sink and the 'compartment' so as to contain stuff. When the boat was new, I built a wall before our first sail. And to do it a second time was a no brainer. What was the factory NOT thinking? Let's see, that panel made from teak ply, probably cost $20.00 back then. Times 1000 boats,, where is my calculator? Wow! Just like the auto industry. No one gives away even a 25 cent item. That would be a million dollars over a production run. Oh well, I always called this boat a 'Chevy' anyway.
