Here is the engine at fire up time. Same engine, just new stuff. Notice, no cabinetry. (circa Oct. 2000) The new exhaust elbow, intake manifold and some other loose parts are treated with JetHot '2000' Ceramic Coating. I'm on my third elbow. Enough! Also you can see the new and smaller mounts for the engine. All four of them were less than a hundred bucks, and these don't rust and work great.
I plumbed a fresh water line to the engine for testing and refrigeration while on the hard. It is part of the ships water system. I can also use it to flush the raw water side of the engine of salt anytime it won't be used for a while. This only helps the elbow.
