The foredeck shows the rebuilt hatches (powdercoated+new hardware and lenses) . Also seen is the new windlass, all new running rigging and the new boom kicker. The spinnaker pole is painted the same as the mast ( Awlgrip linear polyurethane) and is off of the deck on new stanchion mounts. I'm adding a coat of varnish for winter. (note the tape next to the handrails) (For the LAST time.)
11-12-4. I found out that the varnish failed at the joint in the center of the handrail. Hunter built the rails incorrectly. They didn't know to step one rail inside of another when cutting them out of a teak board, so they went to the trouble of screwing pieces of wood together to save bucks. That means they can never hold varnish. Live and learn. The handrails are now stainless steel. See photo #131-132.
